Hemalatha Lavanam Complete Bio & Career

Hemalatha is well recognized for her brilliant works such as the active participation in the protest against the caste system as well as untouchability. Additionally, she has also served as an excellent co-founder of the organization named as Samskar along with her husband Lavanam. The main objective of this non-government organization is to work for the improvement of humanism, human rights, social justice, and socio-economic development in Andhra Pradesh. Later, she and her husband decided to work on criminal rehabilitation. In the year 1974, they made an active participation in the Criminal Reformation and Rehabilitation along with the group of volunteers. They demanded the state government demolish all their settlements and provide the free colonies which were granted in the year 1976. 
 
Their organization, Samskar started working on eradication and upliftment of Joginis in the district know as Nizamabad. Consecutively, the establishment of the Joshua Foundations constitutes the national award titled as Joshua Sahitya Puraskaram especially for the Indian poets who has tried to promote their literature works with ultimate human values. For the brilliant works contributed by Hemalatha, she earned the doctorate in Social work from the Hyderabad University named as Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University. Her biography was written by Kompalli Sundar and Vakulabharanam Lalitha and then published through The National Book Trust of India. Additionally, she also received Viseesha Puraskaram – Ramineni Foundation Awards in the year 2004.
