Lambert Mascarenhas was born on 17-09-1914 in the state of Goa, India. He was an Indian Journalist, Writer, Freedom Activist, Author & Editor.
Lambert Mascarenhas Complete Bio & Career
Lambert Mascarenhas had finished his primary education from Pune, and he completed his graduation from (St Xavier's College) Mumbai. He was more reluctant of marriage, and he had asseverated, he would marry when Goa would release from the Portuguese colonial rule. After he married to Jolly Mascarenhas and this couple has four children. He began his journey as a journalist from "Morning Standard" Mumbai. Moreover, later he worked in the "Bombay Sentinel" as a sub-editor under the guidance of “B. G. Horniman" (editor).He switched his job and started working as an asstt. editor for Onlooker. In that subsequent time, he was engaged to work as an editor for Goan Tribune to support the Goa's liberation movement.
During his journey as a journalist, he promoted over the time and during the 60 to 70, he joined the (Navhind Times) as an editor but did not involve for the long time. In those following years, he established "Goa Today" and even though he handled the editor work. Apart from Journalism work, he has also written many books and some of his notable published books such as Sorrowing Lies My Land and its publication done in 1955. It remembers the 1946 (anti-colonial movement) of Rammanohar Lohia began this movement in Margao.
