Lara Spencer Complete Bio & Career

Lara Spencer is a television journalist and she is one of the anchors on the ABC channel’s Good Morning America. She also works with Nightline and ABC News. She was raised in Long Island and attended the Garden City High School. She graduated after four years from that high school. She then went on to attend the Pennsylvania State University. Spencer received a scholarship to go to the college for springboard and platform diving. She is a diver who is ranked nationally, and she received the name of All American Athlete in the year 1991. She then graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
 
After she graduated from college, she started to volunteer in the NBC program. She did it to gain experience and volunteered along with others. Then, this volunteering opportunity opened the door for her to work at WDEF-TV which is an affiliate of CBS television. The position she had was to work in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was a reporter, producer, and an editor. Spencer worked various positions.
 
The next year, Spencer joined another new station. This was News 12 Long Island. Then, she anchored for WABC-TV. The big break for her was covering the TWA Flight 800 crash. After this, she joined Good Morning America which comes on ABC channel.
 
She has created and produced two shows. These shows are based on things she loves and they include I Brake for Yard Sales and Flea Market Flip. She has the passion of visiting flea markets.
