Being born in a family of actors, she too desired to become an actress. She began her acting career with the Hindi film titled Maha-Sangram in the year 1990. She had a minor role in this film. Following year, she played a lead role in superhit Hindi film Ayee Milan Ki Raat. Unfortunately, it was her last Hindi film as her uncle Dilip Kumar was against her career in Bollywood. She though starred in a Tamil film called Yes Nenante Nene which got released in 1994.
