Abigail Breslin is an American actress who is also known for her wonderful singing. Her debut in the movie Signs, released in 2002 was when she was just five years old. She appeared in the film Little Miss Sunshine, released in 2006. She was also nominated for the best supporting role for the academy awards for the movie, Little Miss Sunshine. Her appearance was also appreciated in the films No Reservations released in 2007, Nim's Island released in 2008, Maybe, released in 2008 My Sister's Keeper (2009), Zombieland (2009), and Rango which was released in 2011.
 
She started very early by debuting in the movie named signs when she was just a 5-year-old girl. She played the role of Bo Hess. This movie was directed by M. Night Shyamalan who is a very renowned director. Breslin has also appeared in the movie The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement but for a short role only. Her career took shape when she did the movie Keane where she played the role of a mentally disordered girl, Kira Bedik. Her performance was highly appreciated by the viewers although the movie was not a big hit.
 
The movie, little miss sunshine brought her a huge amount of stardom and her performance was considered by the audience to be very mature. She played the role of a beauty pageant contestant in the movie and the movie was also a commercial success. She was nominated for Screen Actors Guild Award and Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress due to which she became the fourth youngest actress to be nominated in that category.
