Spencer Breslin Complete Bio & Career

Spencer Breslin’s career began at an early age of 3, an age when most people are not even able of comprehending their actions. He was discovered by a talent group in a playground in the New York City and advanced to act in more than 50 commercials. At the age of four, he made his TV debut and starred in ABC’s Soul Man.
 
In 1999, Breslin appeared in the horror TV miniseries, Stephen King’s Storm of the Century, and made a leap onto the silver screen at the age of eight by bagging the role of Rusty in Disney’s The Kid, a comedy-drama. For this, he won the Young Artist Award for Best Performance by the actor of age ten or below at the 22nd Young Artists Awards. In the same year, he also starred in the films – Meet the Parent and The Ultimate Christmas Present.
 
In 2004, he alongside with his sister, Abigail Breslin, starred in Raising Helen and The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. He went on to star in Harold at the age of 16 and appeared as Josh in The Happening, the next year. In 2010, MTV listed Spencer as one of "The 17 Coolest 17-Year-Olds from Around the World."He starred in Born to Race in 2011 and in 2012; he appeared in Stuck in Love and Perfect Sisters.
 
Breslin started exploring other aspects of filmmaking and served as the executive producer of Really Bad Movie! in 2013. He also began writing and directing his own short movies. His folk-indie debut album was released in 2012. He is the founder and the owner of Acadian Recording Company. He writes songs and plays in his band, Broken Machine.
