Akash is a young actor from Solapur, Maharashtra. He did his schooling at Shri Shivaji Vidyamandir and Kanishtha Mahavidyalaya, Pune. He received a graduate degree from Savitri Phule Pune University, Pune. He did many modeling assignments at the beginning of his career. After completing his studies, he decided to pursue a career in acting.
He made his acting debut with the Marathi film Sairat in 2016. It was his first successful film also. It was a romantic film directed by Nagraj Manjule. His character Parshya was highly praised and loved by the viewers and he won Zee Cine Award and Filmfare Marathi Awards for his performance. In 2018, he made his Bollywood debut with the film Lust Stories. In 2022, he works with Amitabh Bachchan in the film Jhund.
