Akhilendra Mishra Complete Bio & Career
Akhilendra Mishra is one of the stars who rose to prominence by working in the famous Doordarshan series Chandrakanta in the 1990s. He portrayed the role of Kroor Singh and became a household name. His performance earned him a distinctive position in Indian television industry. He has donned numerous roles in films and television series during the 1990s. His comic roles in some films are still very popular. He was arguably one of the best character actors of Bollywood during the 1990s. His most noted role was Arjan in the Oscar-nominated film Lagaan. His role as Mirchi Seth in the film Sarfarosh needs a special mention.
He started off his acting career with the Doordarshan series Udaan in 1990. His role as Hardayal Singh was well received. He was born in a Brahmin family in Bihar and spent his early days in Gurukul. To pursue an acting career, he joined IFTA in 1983 and started performing in some plays. He made his big-screen debut with the film Bedardi in 1993.
In his career of more than two and a half decade, he has played over 100 character roles in Bollywood films like Tarkieb, The Legend of Bhagat Singh, Gangaajal, Shootout at Lokhandwala, Ready and Kaabil.
In addition to films, he has enjoyed a highly successful career with the small screen as well. Having started with Udaan, he has played significant roles in small screen series like Ramayan, Bhagyavidhaata, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev, Diya Aur Baati Hum, and Khatmal E Ishq. He portrayed the role of demon Ravana in the epic series Ramayan in 2008 and that of Maharaj Bali in the epic series Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev.
