Alan Cumming Complete Bio & Career

After completing graduation in Dramatic Studies, Alan worked immensely in Scottish theater and television. He appeared on the soap opera High Road in 1980. He made his film debut in Ian Sellar's Prague in 1992. The very same year he starred in Bernard and the Genie, through this film he won the Top Television Newcomer award.
 
He made his Hollywood debut with the film Circle of Friends in 1995, and his performance in the film brought him to the attention of notable American producers, and after which he starred in several Hollywood films, such as Buddy and Romy and Michele's High School Reunion. His best films include Urbania, Julie Taymor's Titus, the "Spy Kids" trilogy, X-Men 2, Josie and the Pussycats, Nicholas Nickleby and Son of the Mask to name a few.
 
Apart from acting, Alan Cumming also directed, wrote and produced the film titled The Anniversary Party in 2001.
 
Apart from being an actor, he has also authored a novel, "Tommy's Tale", in 2002. He has started his own brand of cologne called "Cumming." He is a pure vegetarian.
