Allu Aravind Complete Bio & Career

Allu Arvind popularly referred to as Allu Aravind Babu is an Indian film producer widely known for his films especially in South India. He has mainly produced movies in the Telugu Film Industry, popularly known as Tollywood. He is the son of the popular Telugu comedian and actor late Padma Shri winner Allu Ramalingaiah who has appeared in more than 1000 movies. Coming from a movie background, Allu took to movie production as his career in his initial days and floated a movie production company Geetha Arts.  Initially, he produced small budget films - Banthrotu Bharya in 1974, being the first film produced by the production company. Under Geetha Arts, he started producing one successful movie after the other in due course and Allu made a name for him in the Telugu film industry. Some of his initial successes were Vijetha (1985), Master (1997), Ninaithen Vandhai (Tamil) (1998), Mangalyam Tantunanena (Kannada) (1998).
 
Slowly, he consolidated his production business and started a film distribution company as well under Geetha Arts. Slowly, he gained a presence in the movie distribution, exhibition, and the digital content industry. Telugu film industry is a highly fragmented industry. Allu through Geetha Arts is one of the very few players in the industry to have a conglomerate of movie production, distribution, and marketing functions under a single banner.
 
Allu has produced films worked with all mega start of the South Indian film industry. However, he has produced the maximum movies starring the superstar Chiranjeevi who is also his brother-in-law. Over the years, Allu has been instrumental in bringing modern technology, Hollywood style action scenes and top class special effects to the Telugu film industry thereby raising the standard of Tollywood. His large budget movies include the Telugu movie Jalsa and Magadheera that have been smack hits. On a national level, Allu is known for his super hit movie Ghajini, starring the superstar Amir Khan. This movie has been his highest gross seller to date.
Allu through his production company has released over 300 movies in Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and English language in the state of Andhra Pradesh. He has been instrumental in bringing small and large movie makers together and providing them a platform to make meaningful as well as mass marker movies. He is a visionary in the industry and understands the trends amongst the audience. This has helped him make movies that audiences love over so many years. Lately, Indian audiences have taken to the OTT digital streaming platforms like Netflix and Hotstar. Allu has been quick to gauge the shift in audience preference and is on his way to start a new digital streaming platform that shall showcase original content made by his production house. Out of his three sons - Allu Venkatesh, Allu Arjun, and Allu Sirish, two sons Arjun and Sirish are popular actors in Telugu movies. 
 
He is also a member of the Prajarajyam political party started by his brother-in-law Chiranjeevi. Allu Babu is also general secretary of the party and a member of the policy-making body of the party.
