Amyra Dastur was born and raised in Maharashtra. She dropped out while in high school to pursue a career in acting. She started off by featuring in commercials and got her first break as an actress through Bollywood film Issaq in the year 2013. The movie boomed at the box-office but her cute looks caught attention of various filmmakers. She was then seen in Tamil film Anegan in the year 2015. The movie was a huge hit and she too won nominations for Best Debut Actress of that year.
She then starred in Jackie Chan starrer film Kung Fu Yoga in the year 2017. In 2018, she made her Telugu film debut through the film titled Manasuku Nachindi opposite Raj Tarun. This movie again failed to make an impact at the box-office. Her latest releases include Judgementall Hai Kya, Prassthanam, and Made in China. She is currently busy with her upcoming Tamil film Oodi Oodi Uzhaikanum.
In addition to films, she has also appeared in commercials of popular brands like Clean & Clear Foaming Face Wash, Vodafone and Dove among others. She has also featured in Sonu Nigam's music video of song titled Aa Bhi Ja Tu Kahin Se in the year 2015.
