Anil Kumble got his primary education from St. English School and National High School of Basavangudi, Bangalore. After this, he completed graduation in Mechanical Engineering from the National School of College of Engineering (RVCE). In 1989, at the age of 19, he played his first domestic match against Hyderabad. At that time, he played on behalf of the Karnataka team. Then Anil Kumble was selected in the Indian Under-19 Test team. In this category, Pakistan scored magnificent 113 and 76 runs against U-19. They were classified in the Indian ODI team due to the recent great bowling and batting. In the debut match of  Asia Cup played in Sharjah, they displayed a high bowling figure against Sri Lanka.
 
He then played a Test match against South Africa in 1992-93. Anil Kumble was one of the successful players in the tour of South Africa and Zimbabwe tour of this time. After that, he has been an important place in the Indian cricket team. Kumble has been successful in sports like his ideal Chandrasekhar. They made their mark at the international level. Anil Kumble made history in the cricket world when he took 10 wickets in only 26 runs in just 26.3 overs playing the Test match against Pakistan on the Feroz Shah Kotla ground in Delhi on February 7, 1999. Anil Kumble became the second player in the world with ten wickets. Earlier England's off-spinner Jim Laker made a record of taking 10 wickets in an innings.
 
Anil Kumble is India's first spinner and second Indian player to cross the 200-wicket mark in International Cricket Over Limited. After taking 10 wickets Anil Kumble, India not only won the series of 2 matches but also gave Anil Kumble the man of the match. Due to this achievement, Anil can register his name in Cricket's Hall of Fame. Jim Leyer, the first player to take 10 wickets, made his record on 31 July 1956, which was 43 years before. From their diversity in bowling, they constantly trouble the opposition batsmen. Googly and Flipper were the biggest bowlers of their bowling, but they used to lower the batsmen out of their spin and yorker.
 
He also has taken 337 wickets in 265 innings of 271 one-day matches. And he has been the most successful bowler in Team India, taking 619 wickets in 236 innings of 132 Test matches.  Anil Kumble was also the captain of the Indian cricket team for one year from November 2007. Anil Kumble retired from international cricket in March 2007. He also captained the Indian Test team in 2008, at the peak of his career. Until retirement, he was playing in the IPL till 2010. Even after retirement, this great player of Indian cricket was associated with cricket, and in 2016, he became the coach of the Indian cricket team. Under his leadership, the Indian team also became the number one Test team in the world in 2017.
