Anshu Malik is an Indian woman wrestler. She belonged from the Nidani village of Jind district in Haryana. Anshu specializes in Freestyle wrestling and She represents India internationally in the 57kg category and is well-specialized Freestyle wrestling. The strong woman belongs to a family of hard wrestlers. Her father and her uncle are former grapplers. In 1995, her father fight at the World Cadet Wrestling Championship represented India. Her one uncle Pawan Malik was a South Asian Games Gold-Medalist. She got inspiration from his brother Shubham also who is a national-level wrestler. She was good at studies and performed academically very well at the Chaudhary Bharat Singh Memorial School.
The lady started wrestling on behalf of his father. She was trained under Jagdish Sheoren, who has trained more than 20 international wrestlers. Apart from wrestling, Anshu. The wrestler had participated and won medals in state-level junior wrestling competitions. In 2016, She gain her first national Gold medal in wrestling at the National School Games. She’d go on to defend her Cadet National title twice in wrestling championships in the years 2017 & 2018.
In 2018 then she became the Junior National Champion in the 57 kg category at the Junior National Wrestling Championships. She received her first senior national Gold medal at the Senior National Wrestling Championships in Jalandhar, Punjab. The lady won the Silver medal in her senior international debut at the Ranking Series Matteo Pellicone in Italy in 2020. In this current year, she bagged the Gold medal in the 57 kg category in Wrestling Championships at the 23rd Senior Women National.
