Anthony Hamilton was born on 28th January 1971 in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. He is an American Singer, Songwriter and Record Producer. He is best known for his platinum-selling album Comin' from Where I'm From.

Anthony Hamilton Complete Bio & Career

As soon as he turned 10, he enrolled in a local church's choir and started singing with his high school's choir. Hamilton relocated to New York City in 1993 to start his professional career in music, after he signed a recording deal with Andre Harrell's Uptown Records. He then contracted with MCA Records and released his debut album titled "XTC" in 1996. This album received moderate success with his single "Nobody Else". After failing to sign a label he started writing songs for other artists and was later on offered to provide background vocals in D'Angelo's "Voodoo Tour".
 
His second studio album "Comin' from Where I'm From", was released in 2003. The album became an instant hit and sold around 1.2 million copies and achieved platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). He was catapulted to fame after this album and was now in the reckoning of many labels. Following the success of this album, he released several other albums like Ain't Nobody Worryin', The Point of It All and What I'm Feelin' amongst others.
 
Anthony Hamilton married Tarsha McMillian with whom he has six children.
