The Indian Film director, Anusha Rizvi directed the movie – Peepli Live which is based on satirical comedy. This movie mainly explores the concept of farmer suicides and its relevant response from the media as well as politics. This movie was selected to be one of India’s Official Entry to be given the 83rd Academy Awards in the category of Best Foreign Film. As a matter of fact, this movie was produced by Amir Khan. Additionally, this movie earned the Gollapudi Srinivas Award in the category of Best First Film conducted at the Durban Film Festival. Later, she continued as an eminent journalist after accomplishing her movie project. Most prominently, she graduated from the St. Stephen’s College belonging to the University of Delhi. After completing her graduation in History, she made up her mind to approach Amir Khan about the movie Peepli Live.
 
As a matter of fact, it was her debut directional movie and received huge recognition from the audience as well as industry. The prominent artists of the movie are Omkar Das Manikpuri, Naseeruddin Shah, Malaika Shenoy, and much more. This movie was in turn distributed by UTV Motion Pictures which got released in the year 2010. Additionally, this movie was also released in the United Kingdom in the month of September.
