Ashish Vidyarthi was born on 19-06-1962 in Kannur in the state of Kerala, India. He is an Indian Film Actor & Television Actor who is known for his work in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Odia, Bengali, Marathi and English movies.

Ashish Vidyarthi, a renowned film and television actor in south Indian and north Indian film industries. He mostly played negative roles and also played few were supporting roles as well. He created a space for his villain characters with the way he presented the assigned characters at his best. This versatile actor acquired awards for his best acting in the school-age itself. He participated in many skits and dramas during his school days and won many accolades.
 
He started his career by acting in minor roles and got a break in “S.V Paranjpe serial”. He appeared in various regional language serials, especially in Hindi serial “Ghutan” in the 1990s was a hit. He started his film career as a supporting artist in Kannada film “Anand” with Shivraj Kumar. In the film Hijack, 1991, he associated with Suresh Gopi. Naajayaaz and Baazi are his breakthroughs in Hindi. As a villain, he presented many commercial masala fares. His most talking movies are Baba, as IPPO RAMASAMI with the Superstar Rajinikanth (Tamil), “CID Moosa” with Dileep (Malayalam), Ghilli& Azagiya Tamiz Magan with Thalapathi Vijay (Tamil), Pokkiri, and Athidhi with Mahesh Babu (Telegu).
 
He bagged Best Supporting Actor for the film “Drohkkal” from National Film Awards in 1995, Best Actor Award in Hindi for the film “Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin” from Bengal Film Journalists' Association in 1996, Best Villain Award for “Is Raat Ki Subah Nahin” from Star Screen Award in 1997, and again Best villain award for the film “Athanokkade”, Telugu, from Film Fare Award. He is listed as a No.1 Villain in South India along with his colleagues’ villain Mukhesh Rishi and Rahul. He acted more than 40 films in south Indian industry.
