Ashok Jhunjhunwala Complete Bio & Career

Ashok Jhunjhunwala worked as a Professor in the Department of ECE, at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras now Chennai, India. After he completed his graduation in technology from IITK, he pursued Ph.D. and MS from the University of Maine.
 
He invented the idea and assembled the main Knowledge Park for research known as IIT Madras Research Park. This research park is a home to more than 100 R&D organizations in its 1.2 million square feet campus.
 
He had been honoured as Dronacharya by TIE for his commitments. He had supported more than 100 organizations dealing in educational research. He is heading the IITM cell for incubation and rural technology known as RTBI. He had worked intimately with industry in the advancement of various items for Indian telecom, managing an account and power ventures.
 
One of the key concepts developed by him since last two decades was of great importance. These inventions had changed the telecom industry thoroughly. As an engineer of the principal Wireless in Local Loop item in India, he perceives that without sufficient wire-line framework. He is currently working on the concept of bringing advanced 4G and 5G in the rural and sub-urban area so that India can match to the countries like the United States.

He was awarded a Padma Shree in the year 2002.Because of his incredible contribution to the telecom industry; he had been a fellow of IEEE, INSA, NAS, IAS, INAE, and WWRF. He was also honored with the Honorary Doctorate by the University of Maine as well as from the Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden.
