The popular Indian Footballer, Mehta presently plays for the team Aizawl from Mumbai in the I-League. Most evidently, Mehta had a great career start in the period of 2011 – 2012 season. However, he got a chance to play his debut match for Mumbai in the year 2011 – Federation Cup against the team HAL. Later, he was given the opportunity to play for Mumbai in the I–League against the team East Bengal during the month of November 2011. In this match, Mehta secured an ultimate goal leading the team to hold red and gold. Subsequently, in the month of July 2015, Ashutosh Mehta was selected to play the match for Mumbai City in the India Super League – 2015. As a matter of fact, he tends to be the great midfielder in the upcoming matches. This excellent footballer is a versatile and strong player who seems to be the perfect player during any circumstance of the match.
 
Later, he signed a contract with the Boyhood Club and also extended the contract period for another year. However, he was asked to feature for the Football Club Pune city for 7 continuous times during the inaugural edition. Consequently, Ashutosh Mehta was considered as the permanent member of the team – Football Club of Mumbai City and promotes the great dedication towards his match in Hero ISL 2016. He underwent the victorious transition from the Youth junior phase to senior phase at Mumbai Football Club.
