Ayesha Takia did her schooling from "St Anthony's Girls High School".She began her modeling career in her childhood when she made her debut at the age of fifteen; by her appearance in an advertisement was "Complan."And this TV Commercial slogan “I am a Complan Boy! I’m a Complan Girl!" got more popular.
In the meanwhile, she was fortunate to appear in Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru directed singles “ Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye" (Falguni Pathak) and also in Shake It Daddy which was the remixed version of “Nahin Nahin Abhi Nahin”. Taarzan: The Wonder Car was her first Bollywood film for that she even won the "Best Debut Award" at 2004 Filmfare awards. She did not have a steady and stable path for making her career in Bollywood after "Tarzan: The wonder car."During that time she had some small budget films like 2006 releasing "Dor" in which her role of Rajasthani young widowed woman got praised by critics. She won the "Zee Cine Critics Award for Best Actress" for this film. In 2005 she moved to Telugu industry to try her fate and she used to cast opposite " Akkineni Nagarjuna" who was the start personality at that time in "Tollywood Industry."
She received the nomination for "Filmfare Best Actress Award (Telugu)". Her first biggest commercial hit was "Prabhu Deva's" directed "Wanted" opposite "Salman Khan."And this film became the 3rd highest grossing earner of the year 2009. In 2012, she hosted the musical show "Sur Kshetra."After the film “app ke liye hum” in 2013, she decided to take a break from the entertainment industry forever. She is also a supporter for “wildlife protection” and she even posing for a “vegan ad” for supporting (PETA India). She accused "Abu Azmi" who is "Samajwadi Party lawmaker" and her (father-in-law) for the punishment of rape victims in 2014.
