B.N. Sharma Complete Bio & Career

B.N. Sharma’s parent’s wanted him to become an engineer. He worked as a constable in the police department in Chandigarh in 1972. He worked in the police department for almost 25 years. Simultaneously he also continued his acting career. During his tenure as a constable, he worked in some 40-45 films.
 
He made his acting debut with a negative role in Jalandhar Doordarshan's Punjabi series titled Jeb Katre in the year 1985. A couple of years later, he made his silver screen debut with the Punjabi film titled Visakhi in the year 1987. The film was a box office hit and was appreciated by critics as well. From 1987 till now, he has acted in over 70 films. His film Mahaul Theek Hai needs a special mention. Among his latest released hit films are Carry On Jatta, Jatt and Juliet and its sequel  Jatt and Juliet2 among others.
 
He became an established comedian of Punjabi films after playing the characters like Inspector Sikander Singh Tiwana and Shampy Da Daddy from Carrying on Jatta and Jatt and Juliet respectively. His parents though were not happy with his decision of becoming an actor, here he is today loved by millions for his splendid acting skills. His latest released film is Bhaji in Problem. He is arguably one of the most sought-after character artists of Punjabi cinema today.
