Bipin Gupta was born on 21st August 1905 in Meerut, India. He was an Indian Actor, Producer, and Artist. He acted in Hindi and Bengali movies, his most notable works include Baiju Bawra, Mamta, Gharana, and Khilona among others.
Bipin Gupta Complete Bio & Career
Bipin Gupta left studies and relocated to Mumbai with a dream to work in film industry. For his survival, he did many odd jobs and meanwhile he kept getting petty roles in some movies in the 1930s. He finally made his film debut by acting in a Bengali movie titles Chokher Bali in 1938.
He made his Bollywood debut in 1952 with the Hindi movie Baiju Bawra. The movie was a huge hit and after that, he featured regularly in many movies in the 1950s and 1960s. He was mostly cast in rich father or businessman kind of roles. Baiju Bawra, Jagriti, Amar Deep, Sasural, Amrapali, and Khilona are among his most successful movies. In a career spanning over 3 decades, he acted in over 300 films.
Along with acting he also tried his hand at production and Dal Me Kaala which was released in 1964 was his maiden film as a producer. He married Anupama Devi. He died in Kolkata at the age of 76 in 1981.
