As her early work in television, in 1970, he played the supportive role in a BBC trilogy show ‘The Roads of Freedom’. Meanwhile, he played an important role of the Paul Merroney in ‘The Brother’. He married to one of co-actress of TV series ‘The brothers’. He got his first movie break in 1975 for the short role of Brain in “Drive carefully, Darling”.
In 1989, he again performed the role of the doctor in a stage play “Doctor Who – The Ultimate Adventure”.After that, in 1991, Baker played a character in the BBV video series “The Stranger” which was similar to‘Doctor’. The interesting fact about Colin Baker is that he played the role of the doctor so many times in different movies and television shows that he nicknamed as the ‘Doctor’.
In 2003, Baker appeared on “Top Gear” and held the fourth position therein. Baker narrated and provided his voice for comedy Sci-fi audiobooks in 2010. Till 2014, Baker had recorded more than 83 Doctor audio plays for BBC videogames. Similarly, in 2015, he furnished his voice again to the video game for the role of The Doctor.
Baker has a bunch of talents. Apart from the versatile actor, Colin is the author of many books. His first book ‘Look Who’s Talking’ was published in 2009. Moreover, Baker wrote for various magazines and also wrote a comic strip in 1994. Surprisingly, Baker used to write a weekly column for a local newspaper. His upcoming book is “Sixth Sense – From the columns of the Bucks Free Press”. Baker is a hunting lover and stood in the opposition of the Hunting Act, 2004 for seeking the amendment in it.
