Dalip Tahil was born on 30-10-1952 in Agra in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. He is an Indian Film Actor, Television Actor, Theatre Actor & Voice Artist who best known for his work in Bollywood Industry.

Dalip Tahil Complete Bio & Career

Dalip Tahil began acting at the age of 10, while to play on stage at India's Top institute Sherwood College (Nainital). Dalip's participation over the years at the stage for speech contests, Nativity plays, and social and informal performances gave him a stage to be cast in major roles. During the time of his high schooling, he won Kendall Cup under the category of best actor in two consecutive terms years.

In 1968, he moved to Mumbai along with his family, and in the early days of his acting career, he joined the Theatre Group. He was trained by the directors Pearl Padamsee and by Alyque. The ace director “Shyam Benegal” gave his first break in Hindi film industry and he was cast in film Ankur in the year 1974. He was offered an antagonist role in the super hit film Shaan in 1980. Moreover, in 1982, he played a cameo role in Sir Richard Attenborough's Gandhi. He became the part of the cast of India's first 3D film My Dear Kuttichathan in 1984. In the subsequent time, he had established himself to play the supporting characters in the Hindi films from (1980 to 2013).

His first English project was The Deceivers and The Perfect Murder in 1988, which was a Merchant-ivory English film, over the years he acted in 100 Bollywood films such as Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Ram Lakhan, Tridev, Kishen Kanhaiya, Ajooba, Vishwatma, Deewana, Baazigar, Ishq, Judwaa, Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, Partner, and Ra. One and Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. He made his acting debut in Pollywood from the Punjabi film  Sajna ve Sajna in 2007. On Television, he made debut from the Sanjay Khan's most popular and epic drama The Sword of Tipu Sultan. He was also cast in the famous family drama serial Buniyaad produced by Ramesh Sippy. In addition, Bombay Blue was his first ever British Tv series in which he played a supporting role.

He obtained the national acceptance across the UK due to the role of Dan Ferreira he played in the BBC1 opera EastEnders in the year 2003. For that series, he was cast for 60 episodes and despite that show went off aired on 30 Dec 2003. In 2017, he became the voice of the character Ego The Living Planet of the English film Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
