DArcy Short is a batting all-rounder from Australia. He made his List A debut way back in 2011 but couldn't make that opportunity count and it took him another 5 years to be back again for reckoning.
Finally, after making a comeback in 2016 domestic One Day matches, he didn't let this opportunity go by and made full use of it. He though came into limelight after 2018 Big Bash league where he was the highest run-getter. He fetched an IPL contract worth 4.2 crores. He however failed to make any impact in his IPL debut year and was subsequently released by the franchise for the 2019 edition. He again was on song in the 2019 Big Bash League and that earned him a call up in the National side which toured India. He played a decent knock in the 2nd T20 and made sure his side win its first ever T20 bilateral series against India in India. He might be considered by Australia as a backup opener for the 2019 World Cup.
In addition to batting, his bowling has been quite handy for his sides at times. He is considered a man with a golden arm as he has delivered with the ball in hand more often than not.
