Dario Marianelli is a famous composer from Italy. He writes for films and also provides music for concerts. Dario started learning piano and began chorus singing when he was 6 years old. But his voice broke and he had to leave singing. But then he strongly focused on playing piano and also composing songs.He studied as an external student in Lucca, Florence and Livorno and studied privately. He then studied counterpoint before he moved to England where he joined the Guildhall School of music and drama. Also then for 3 years, he studied at the national film and television school.
 
Dario started his career in 1994 from movie Ailsa. He has also composed music for many movies likeEat Pray Love, Quartet, and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, Jane Eyre and much more. The famous filmmaker Joe Wright has also recognized Dario for his work in Pride and Prejudice, The Soloist, Anna Karenina and Atonement. Dario has won many awards and recognitions like Golden Globe Award, Academy Award, the World Soundtrack Award and The Phoenix Film Critics Award. He has also received Oscar nominations for Best Achievement in Music which was for Motion Pictures and Original Score. Dario is recently composing music for the ringtones of Vertu phones.
