Who can forget the musical journey that happened with Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Each song just hit the chords of our heart with its musical feet. His name was a big hit in those times when he had given the musical histories to movies like these. His great bond with the actor Salman Khan was another bond to look upon to.
 
Ismail Darbar was born in Gujarat. He worked as a violinist for legendary musicians Laxmikant-Pyarelal, Kalyanji-Anandji, Bappi Lahiri, Rajesh Roshan and much more. He had also worked with AR Rahman himself. After several years he finally got his break with Hum dil de chuke sanam and left the audience awestruck. He then rejoined Bhansali with Devdas and created yet another musical journey to be remembered for ages. Though, good at the music he never reconciled with Bhansali due to personal issues. After a big leap, he then created music for Kisna, a Subhash Ghai's movie but left the project midway to handle an international project.
 
He was always into controversies. His alleged relationship with Poonam Yadav and getting his child aborted was in news for quite a lot of time. She tried to commit suicide as well. Another controversy involved him when he put allegations on AR Rahman accusing him of buying the Academy Awards for his successful Slumdog Millionaire. And later he and his son were also accused of assaulting Prashmit Chaudhary employed by him. They refused to pay his dues and salary.
 
He was the judge for the famous TV show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2005 and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007 telecasted on Zee tv, Amul Star Voice of India 2, Bharat Ki Shaan: Singing Star- Season 2. He also won National award for his great music in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. Besides a musician, he also made his foray into politics by joining BJP in2011.
