Dhairya Karwa studied B.Com Hons at Sri Ram College of Commerce in Delhi. He later moved to Mumbai to study business management at the Institute of Management Technology and pursued a master's degree at the London School of Business and Finance. He then wanted to further his studies in Europe until he decided to focus on a career in acting. 
 
He began to model and appeared in a few films before enrolling in an acting school for formal training. He has maintained his body since he played basketball in school and college, and his life in boarding school helped him develop discipline, which he has carried into his acting career. In 2019, he made his acting debut in Aditya Dhar's Bollywood blockbuster film "Uri: The Surgical Strike". 
 
In-which he was fortunate to earn the role of a Sikh officer "Captain Sartaj Singh Chandhok". Having never been on camera before, he stayed in a Gurudwara to learn the basics of the Sikh community and religion for playing a Sikh officer. Since it was his first film for the silver screen, many felt that he would be nervous while shooting for it; however, he proved them wrong by giving one of the best performances ever. He was trained for the role by the crew in Mumbai with his good physique and great attitude in mind.  
 
His performance in the film Uri caught the eye of filmmakers in Bollywood, who approached him for a few roles. Then he was seen in Kabir Khan's Bollywood film "83" based on the 1983 Cricket World Cup, where he plays the role of Ravi Shastri, an Indian cricket coach and former Indian international cricket player. Next, he will be seen in Shakun Batra's film Gehraiyaan opposite Ananya Panday, Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi. The film has been scheduled to be released on 11-02-2022 on Amazon Prime.
