Dilip Joshi Complete Bio & Career

Belonging to a typical Gujarati family, Dilip Joshi was born in the village named Gosa in Porbandar in the year 1968. He completed his professional degree of Bachelor of Commerce from the N. M College of Commerce and Economics, situated in Mumbai. He presently resides in Mumbai with his family.
 
While graduating he contributed to many theatres works in college which were his first steps in the line of acting. He has been active in his career since 1989, with his first appearance in the Bollywood movie “Maine Pyaar Kiya”, along with well-known actors Salman Khan, Alok Nath and Bhagyasgree Patwardhan along with many others. He went on to act in many other movies like “Humraaz”, “Hum Aapke Hain Kaun”, “Dhoondte Reh Jaaoge”,“Chachi 420” and “What’s Your Rashee” in a comedy role. He has also been a prominent figure in the television industry since 1994, which he started with the serial named “Galatnaama”. His appearance in a major role in the serials “CID”, “Kabhi Yeh Kabhi Woh”, “FIR”, and “Hum Ek Hain”. His work in a comedy serial “Agadam Bagdam Tigdam” for children was very appreciated by children as well as adults. He is popular as Jethalal Champaklal Gada in the most popular TV show “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma”. His character in the serial is popular among all age groups and loved by all.
 
He started theatre in college for which he was awarded the Indian National Theatre award twice. During the years 2009 to 2017, his work has brought him laurels as the best actor in the comic role or lead role for “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma”. The titles of the awards are Indian Telly Awards, Zee Gold Awards, Boroplus Gold Awards, Lion Gold Awards and Big Star Entertainment Awards.
