Dino Lalvani, Chairman to Binatone, is a UK based Indian origin businessman. Born in 1973 to the founder of Binatone Corporation Gullu Lalvani, a Pakistan-born British entrepreneur and Vimla Lalvani, Dino practices Sikhism. Brought up in the United Kingdom, he was educated there until he moved to the United States to attend university. As of now, he resides in South – East Asia. He claims that there’s no place that can make him feel like a foreigner.
Dino Lalvani bought his father’s proportion of the Binatone Company and became the Chairman of Binatone Corporation. Binatone is a leading manufacturer of landlines, mobile phones, GPS devices, baby monitors and other cordless devices. It was found in the year 1958 by brothers Gullu and Partap Lalvani, split geographically in the year 1989 and was purchased by Dino in the year 2008. In 1983 it became the first company in Europe to market fixed line consumer products at electronics retailers. From 2003 to 2006, it was an official shirt sponsor of Queens Park Rangers Football Club. A Hong Kong-based company Binatone has regional offices in the cities of London, New Delhi, Bangalore, Indianapolis, Shenzen and Lummen. Its products are sold under several names including iDECT, Voxtel, Motorola, and AEG.
