Dipali Goenka holds a graduate degree in Psychology and also holds a management degree from the prestigious Harvard Business School. After completion of her education, her father’s health was deteriorating and hence she got married to B K Goenka. She joined her husband’s family’s business. She is currently the Joint MD of Welspun India Limited. She joined the organization in 2002 and has been serving it as a CEO since 2002.
 
She is currently ranked 4th richest women in India according to Forbes Magazine. She has worked tirelessly on developing a culture of excellence and has innovated the organization with her fresh ideas. She is well known for putting customers as their focal points and that is why her brand Welspun today is one of the most reputed home textile manufacture brands not just in India but globally as well. Her company provides towel at the prestigious tennis tournament, Wimbledon among others. She was instrumental in developing international and famous brands like Kingsley, Christy, and Hygercotton which have today become flagships brand of Welspun.
 
Under her leadership, Welspun India has become one of the most reputed and largest exporters of terry towels and home fashion products globally. Welspun today is the main supplier to 14 out of the top 30 global retailers. It is under her leadership that Welspun India today has become the largest supplier of Home Textile products in the US for 4 straight years now.
 
She under her company’s name has established two schools. In addition to great leadership and business skills, she is also a trained dancer of dance form Kathak.
