Diwakar Pundir rose to stardom after he won the Graviera Mr. India competition in the year 1998. After which, he became a well-known name in the modeling industry. He came to limelight after he appeared in the music video of Sonu Nigam’s song ‘Ab Mujhe Raat Din’. That song became immensely popular and he is still today remembered for that song.
 
He after appearing in few more popular music videos finally got an opportunity to make his film debut. He made his silver screen debut with Mahesh Manjrekar’s romantic flick titled Pyaar Kiya Nahi Jaatha in the year 2003. He was cast opposite actress Sonali Bendre in this film. However, the film failed to make any impact at the box office. After which he appeared in few more films like King Of Bollywood, Don: The Chase Begins Again, and Pehchaan among others.
 
In addition to the silver screen, he also appeared in famous television series like Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, Parivaar Kartavya Ki Pariksha, and Crime Patrol among others. He was unable to make his mark in acting despite being one of the most favored models for years. He also features in commercials like whirlpool refrigerator, Lifebuoy soap, Honda Activa, and Hyundai Verna among others.
