Fathima Babu is a South Indian actress, born in Puducherry. The actress has appeared in various Tamil as well as Malayalam movies. Belonging to a family having a film background she was always passionate about acting. Her father K.Balachander is a very honorable director. He even started a drama group and a FAB’s theater which pulled Fathima Babu’s attention towards acting. Fathima started her career as a newsreader. She was a newsreader on the channel DD Podhigai. This is the Tamil version of Doordarshan news. She is been known as a newsreader for more than 25 years and is well known in the media industry. Later on, she worked as a newsreader for Jaya TV as well. 
 
After getting all the love and fame from the media industry Fathima Babu tried her acting skills and went to work in movies. She has been working in movies since 1996 and is still in the line. Fathima gave various beautiful films to the Tamil and Malayalam industry. 
 
Not only this, but she also worked on various television shows as well. Fathima was a part of one of the biggest reality shows “Big Boss”. The show was in Tamil version.
