Fernanda Brandao Goncalves da Silva is a popular Brazilian dancer, singer, and recording artist. She had an artistic background at home being artists as her family and relatives. She started showcasing her talent at very early age. She sang samba folklore hits and danced at Rio Carnival when she was just 4 years old. Most of her childhood was spent in recording studios with her singer uncles and aunts.
She learned different dance forms including hip hop, jazz, modern dance, and Ballet. She could speak different languages including German, Portuguese, English, and Spanish. She left her education to focus on her career in music. She was featured in many music videos and participated in live shows for well known international artists such as Kylie Minogue, Enrique Iglesias, Coolio, Pink, Gabriella Cilmi, etc. She took part in many TV shows and stage show.She has worked as a choreographer for many music videos.
She rose to fame with her dance-pop song ‘Wherever You Are (I Feel Love)’ and gained extreme popularity under the alias ‘Laava’. Hamburg songwriters Pop Master, Sliteye and Newsky were the writers of the song. Different Eurodance and techno versions of the songs were produced. She became the member of Latin pop group ‘Hot Banditoz’. The group was known for summer-Latino sound. The other members included Gabriela Gottschalk, Bolivian (La Paz) singer, German singer and actor Silva Gonzalez and singer and songwriter, José Valdes. She was with the group from 2004 to 2010. The group’s debut single ‘Veo, Veo,’ was a massive hit and received a gold status. Single Shake Your Balla and 2 albums ‘Mini Disco ‘ and ‘Bodyshaker ‘ also succeeded to please the audience. Moritz Krebs and Matthias Lorenz-Meyer directed a Portuguese electropop song ‘Gigolo’ sang by her.
She was seen as a jury member of famous German television talent show titled ‘Deutschland sucht den Superstar’ in 2011. Swiss singer Patrick Nuo and German songwriter Dieter Bohlen were also part of the show. She was also featured in French television game show named ‘Fort Boyard’. She was a celebrity juror on the German music casting television series ‘Popstars’.
