He then relocated to the New York City and started working under globally renowned chef Gray Kunz at the decorated restaurant named Lespinasse. He then started his own restaurants in New York and his restaurants were famous for melding Indian dishes with western techniques. He was also a partner in Bombay Sweet Shop, O Pedro, and The Bombay Canteen in India. He was 4 time James Beard Award nominee and has also authored 2 cookbooks.
