Brooks’s inspirations were his parents who promoted the talent their kids had. They also encouraged their children to participate in various events. Brooks used to play both guitar and banjo. He soon started his professional career by singing and playing guitars at the local clubs and bars in the year 1985. He was soon offered to sing at Nashville by Phelps who was impressed with Brooks’ music.
 
Brooks’ got his first breakthrough in the year 1989 when he launched his first album. The album had a wide range of music and made it to the top 3. Soon followed the singles ‘Much Too Young’, ‘If Tomorrow Never Comes’, ‘Not Counting You’, ‘The Thunder Rolls’, ‘Unanswered Prayers’, ‘Two of a Kind, Workin’ on a Full House’ etc. were the greatest hits of all time and were at the top of the chartbusters. He became very popular and started his first world tour in the year 1993. Most of his albums were a big hit in the UK, therefore he performed in many concerts there and all of his concerts were always houseful.
 
Brooks married Songwriter Sandy Mahl in the year 1986. They also have 3 daughters from their marriage. However, the couple divorced in the year 1999 and Brooks married singer Trisha Yearwood in 2005. Brooks is very famous across the globe and continues to perform till date.
