Godfrey Gao Complete Bio & Career
Godfrey Gao's actual name is Tsao Chih-hsiang. He relcoated to Canada from Taipei at a very young age with his family. He returned to Taiwan to work as a model in 2004, and was managed by JetStar Entertainment. He along with his model friends Sphinx Ting, Victor Chen, and Lan Chun-tien were collectively nicknamed the "Fashion 4" (F4), and jointly released a book in 2009. He became the first Asian model for the fashion brand Louis Vuitton in the year 2011.
He began appearing in minor roles in Chinese television dramas in 2006, and had his first starring role in the 2010 television drama Volleyball Lover. In 2013, he made his American film debut as Magnus Bane in the film adaption of The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.His starring role in the 2016 drama Remembering Lichuan was widely acclaimed, and earned him the nickname of the "nation's husband" in Chinese media. Some of his films which requires a special mention are Wedding Bible, Love is a Broadway Hit, and Legend of the Ancient Sword among others. In addition to films, he was also a small screen star as well. He was last seen in television series We Are All Alone.

He died on 27-11-2019 in Ningo, Zhejian, China at the age of 35 because of caridac arrest. He was filming for a Chinese reatiy series Chase Me and he died on the sets due to cardiac arrest. He was taken to the nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
