Hema, a popular actress famous for her comedy roles in the Telugu cinema and various character roles. She has worked in more than 250 films. Her real name is Krishna Veni and took birth in the district of East Godavari in a small place called Razole in Andhra Pradesh. She just studied up to seventh class and ceased her education, because of different personal reasons. She is very much perceived with her great smile.

Krishna Veni had an enthusiasm for movies right from her adolescence and in the wake of acting in a few, she got married. She had begun her second innings in the film with Murari and she is proceeding with her movie profession nowadays. She had changed her name to Hema subsequent to coming to film industry. She has worked in many Tamil and Telugu movies.In 1989 her first film as a performer was Chinnari Sneham. A portion of the acclaimed films in which she acted is, Muddulu Mamaiah, Swathi Chinukulu, Dharma Yudham, Lorry Driver, Adadhi, Money, Mechanic Alludu, Varasudu, Dost, Nee Sneham and Okariki Okaru. She has been active in the industry since 1989 and is still giving her amicable performances in various Tamil and Telegu films.

She took an interest and lost in Andhra Pradesh assembly elections 2014 from Mandapeta voting demographic for Jai Samaikyandhra Party. She has received a lot of praises and accolades for her top notch performances till date. She participated in Bigg Boss Telugu Season 3 in the year 2019.
