Jackie Robinson was born on 31-01-1919 in Cairo in the state of Georgia, United States. He was an American-African Baseball Player, Film Actor, Television Actor, Theatre Actor, Athlete & Author.

Jackie Robinson Complete Bio & Career

Born on 31 Jan 1919, Jack Roosevelt Robinson was a baseball player from America. He gained his education from John Muir high school and Pasadena junior college. He started his military career in 1942. He served as a lieutenant in 1943. He worked in the army as the coach. After leaving his career in the military, he opted for football and went to the Los Angeles Bulldogs. His job included training to the school’s basketball team.
 
Robinson signed a contract with Kansas city monarchs in 1945 for $400. He faced Racism there. Later on, Ricky signed for the Montreal Royal at $600 per month. He made his debut for the Royals in 1946 at Daytona Beach’s City Island ballpark. He was regarded as the league's most valuable player. Whenever Robinson was on the field, people in great numbers went to see him. He also played basketball for the team, Red Devils. Robinson was encouraged by Hank Greenberg, a Jewish baseball star. Greenberg advised him that he should overcome critics and defeat them. He earned the title of major league baseball Roopia of the year award.
 
He also had a win against the cardinals. He entered into a contract in 1948 with the Dodgers worth $12,500. He also bagged the title of the most valuable player award for the National League. A song was also composed by buddy Johnson about Robinson which was a big hit. A film was also made on his life titled, the Jackie Robinson story. He regarded Rickey to be his father figure. Later on, he announced his retirement.
