Jayamala Complete Bio & Career

Jaimala is a distinguished Kannada film actress and was also an award winning producer. Jayamala has acted in Tamil, Tulu, Kannada, Hindi and Telugu language movies. She has worked with almost all the superstars of Kannada film industry like Ambareesh, Vishnuvardhan, Shankar Nag, Rajkumar, and Prabhakar. Her hit films include Spy in Rome, Balak, Giri Kanye, Sampoorna Teerth Yatra and Murder among several others. She was at the peak of her career during the 1980s and was one of the most sought after actress of Kannada film industry during 1980s.
 
As a producer, she made her production debut with the film Thaayi Saheba in 1997. Besides producing, she also acted in the film and also won herself the Best Actress Award and the film won National Award. Another significant film produced by her, Thuttoori also won the state and national award.
 
She created history by becoming the first female president of KFCC (Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce). Her work as a treasurer at KFCC was highly appreciated. She was very active and took a keen interest in various activities of the Kannada film producers association.
