Jeeva. R was born and raised in Chennai. He met Adhi through Orkut in the year 2005 and became friends. He started off by uploading his videos on YouTube with the moniker Jeeva Beatz. He soon joined hands with Adhi and both of them became famous with the name Hiphop Tamizah. The duo started off by relasing the single "Excuse Me Kathali" in the year 2010. In the year 2012 they released their debut studio album titled Hip Hop Tamizhan. It was publicized as India's first Tamil Hip Hop Album.
The album was released byu International artist Renny Martin. After this album they became a household named and since then have released singles like "Nice Vs Naughty (Na Na Na)", "Poda", and "Tamizhi" among others. The duo together has also composed songs for various Tamil films as well. In addition to films the duo have also composed the title track of Hindi television series Nandini as well.They are active in the music industry since 2010.
