She was born in a filmy family as her parents also belong to the industry. Her Mother is Producer, Cynde Harmon and Father a Director, Allan Harmon; his brother too is an Actor, Richard Scott Harmon.
 
She started her career on small screen with the TV serial The Outer Limits at the age of 12 in the year 1997. She then appeared in few more serials before coming in films. It was in the year 2003 when she finally made her acting debut with the film Agent Cody Banks which was released in 2003. She made her mark in the film industry with the film Black Christmas with her role of Megan in 2006. The film was acclaimed and so was she. She has acted in nearly 30 movies and an almost equal number of TV serials since her debut. The last TV series she appeared in was iZombie and she garnered a lot of adulation for her supporting role in the series.
