Johanna Konta hails from Sydney, Australia. Her parents are from Hungary and were migrated to Australia, separately. Konta’s father was a hotel manager and her mother, a dentist named Gabor and Gabriella, respectively. 
 
Gabor was married before as well and have a daughter named Eva Emese. Konta lived in Collaroy in Sydney and got introduced to Tennis when she was eight. At the age of fourteen, she was sent to Barcelona for more than a year to learn Tennis from Sanchez Casal Academy. During that time, her family got shifted to England and, therefore, Konta became a British citizen. Due to this, she was involved in a lot of controversies regarding nationality for Tennis. Due to her migration to these countries, she has three passports, each of Hungary, England, and Australia. 
 
Konta had a roller coaster-like career where she faced both successes as well as failure. She won her professional title in Tennis by playing in ITF in Mostar. She won it at before her seventeenth birthday. The tournament winner was awarded 10000 dollars. Konta then struggled in the second half of the next year, 2009. She entered a tournament whose winning award was 25000 dollars. In this tournament, she played superbly and entered into the final by beating some of the players under 250 rank. However, she lost the final to Katie O’Brien with a gap of three sets. She then entered in another tournament with the same prize money and won it. 
 
However, after the first half of the year got over, she did not perform well. In the nine tournaments she entered, eight of them were the ones where she lost in the first round, itself. Still, with her amazing performance in the first half of 2009, she did a great jump of more than 300 places and got a ranking of 360. 
 
After a couple of years, she experienced a drop of fifty places in her ranking due to her injuries and few losses in tournaments. She then fought back and gradually reached under top 10 in 2016. She then lost many matches including the lost against BernardaPera and YuliaPutinsteva with a ranking of 97 and 93, respectively and was dropped to the ranking of 50. She is currently plating excellent and has come back under top 30.
