K.S Ravikumar who always wished to be an actor in Tamil Industry since his childhood ended up as a popular film director. He majorly worked for Tamil film industry. He has involved himself in his career for more than 25 years for now. He is very well known for his unique and innovative movies.
 
Initially, he worked as a co-director for Pudhu Vasantham and the success of the movie led him to make his first debut film Puriyaada Pudhir in 1990. From then to now he has directed more than 40 movies in all kinds of genres like comedy, drama, thriller etc. Ravikumar’s movies were mostly commercial ones made with renowned actors.He always believed in the art of directing movies with new concepts and with a unique approach. All his hard work has paid him enough of fame and wealth. 
 
He always chooses to work with established actors rather going for new talents. He has worked with many popular actors like Kamal Hassan, Rajini Kanth, Meena, Sarath Kumar etc. Another interesting thing about his movies is, one can see himself appearing as a guest in all the movies he directed.
