Kalyani Priyadarshaan was born in filmy family and hence decided to become an actress from a very young age. She obtained her graduate degree from Parsons School of Design, New York City. During her time in New York City, she also joined theatre and honed her acting skills. After returning to India, she assisted various directors.
She finally made her film debut through Telugu film Hello in the year 2017. For her performance, she won herself Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. After that, she was seen in few more Telugu films such as Chitralahari and Ranarangam. She is currently filming for Tamil film Hero and Malayalam film Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham.
