Katy Tiz Complete Bio & Career

Early in her career, she collaborated with her brother and performed folk-rock music gigs around the United Kingdom. However, her interest was drawn towards pure pop music and knew it was the best for her solo career. Initially, she posted the demo track ‘Fire Fire’ to the ArjanWrites, which led to her signing with the record label Lava Records A&R and Warner/Chappell Publishing. She then released three singles titled ‘Famous’, ‘Red Cup’, and ‘Heart’. The dance-pop single ‘Red Cup’ proved to be her breakthrough single in 2013 and gained her recognition. 
 
She later teamed up with the duo Rock Mafia and released the popular cover of their song ‘The Big Bang’. It debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 in May 2014. This song helped her to be picked as the ‘Artist of the Month’ in May by Elvis Duran. She performed the song live on the NBC’s television show ‘Today’. She released a single titled ‘Whistle’ in 2015. Written by Tiz, Emily Warren, Kinetics and One Love, this song also featured in an episode of Netflix original series ‘Girlboss’. The music video for the song has grossed over 5 million views on YouTube. 
 
As a songwriter, she has penned lyrics for other artists like Girl’s Generation and Cheryl Cole. Katy Tiz is also a dolphin trainer.
