Kierra Sheard is a gospel singer, fashion designer, as well as a radio host in America. She states that she drew inspiration from her mother and grandmother, who were involved in gospel singing. She began to sing in the choir when she was six years old at the Greater Emmanuel Institutional Church of God in Christ. The “Clark sound” which Kierra Sheard was known to possess consists of the ability to execute high and fast melismata, riffs, runs, and deep and throaty growls.
Her professional singing debut happened when she performed two tracks from her mother's albumFinally Karen, at the age of 10.She won an award for the Best Children’s Performance. Then, she started to sing as a background vocalist for her mom, aunt, and the Clark Sisters. In 2004, she released her debut album I Owe Youwhichconsisted of eleven tracks.
After graduating high school, the singer released her second album, This Is Me, which hit the top-10 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Albums chart. This album was nominated for a Grammy for the Best Contemporary R&B Gospel Album. In October 2008, BoldRight Life, her third studio album was released. Then in 2010, she appeared in the film Preacher’s Kid. Later in 2013, she released a single, “Trumpets Blow”. Then, in 2015, she released her fifth album, Graceland in 2014. It peaked at number one position on iTunes and was nominated for many prestigious Awards in 2015.
She earned graduation from the Wayne State University which is located in Detroit, Michigan. The singer received a degree in English with a minor in psychology. She has been around the globe as a fashion designer and has personally designed many classic and refreshing looks for the professional woman.
