Kirti Kulhari belongs to a Mumbai-based Rajasthani family. She obtained her graduation degree in Management from the Bhawan’s Commege in Mumbai and did her post-graduation degree in Mass Comm and Journalism from the famous K J Somaiya College, Mumbai.
Kirti began her professional career by joining theatres and thereby got offers to appear in some advertisements and got the opportunity to become a member of the acting workshop called Yatri for a month. Before entering the showbiz industry, she acted in some famous plays and commercials. During this period, she appeared in commercials for noted brands such as Kaya Skin Clinic, ICICI Bank, Everyuth Facewash, Taj Mahal Tea, and Parachute among others.
She began her cinematic career with the film called Khichdi: The Movie in 2010. She was next seen in Shaitaan in 2011 and it was through this film that she got noticed. Her portrayal of Tanya Sharma in this film won her appreciation. She played the lead role in the film Sooper Se Ooper. The film though failed at the box office but won her praise. Her acting career was not shaping well until Pink happened to her. Her portrayal of Falak Ali was immensely praised by the critics and literally left the audiences numb. She was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress at various awards functions. Next, she was seen in Indu Sarkar, Blackmail, Mission Mangal, URI, Shaadisthan, The Girl on the Train, Khichdi2, Hisaab Barabar, Badass Ravi Kumar, etc.
Besides Bollywood movies, she also appeared in several Hindi web series including Four More Shots Please, Bard of Blood, Criminal Justice, Human, Shekhar Home, etc.
