Kona Venkat was born and raised in Bapatla. He started his career as a producer of Telugu film Thoka Leni Pitta in the year 1997. Post that his film company Kona Film Corporation has produced various Telugu films such as Geethanjali , Abhinetri , and Nishabdham among others. He turned full fledged screen writer and dialogue with the film Okariki Okaru in 2003. In addition to Telugu, he has also written dialogues for Hindi films as well. he has wriiten screenplay of Hindi films like Gayab, Ready, and Mom. He has also tried his hands at acting and acted in Telugu film Endukante... Premanta! in the year 2012.
