Koushani Mukherjee always wanted to be an actress and therefore soon after the completion of her graduation, she took part in Miss Beauty of Kolkata beauty pageant. She ended up winning the title and that paved her way to the world of the entertainment industry.
 
After getting noticed, she started getting various modeling and acting offers. She finally made her acting debut through Raj Chakraborty’s Bengali romantic drama film titled Parbona Ami Chartey Tokey in the year 2015. This film was a remake of blockbuster Telugu film Uyyala Jampala. This film opened with positive reviews and her performance in the film too was praised. The following year, she was seen in Kelor Kirti. This film was a blockbuster hit at the box-office and her performance too was hailed. She never looked back since then and has thus far worked with various superstars of Bengali film industry. Her film Girlfriend was arguably among one of the biggest hits of her career. She was recently seen in Jamai Badal and Baccha Shoshur. She will be next seen in Anup Sengupta’s Jaanbaaz.
 
In addition to acting, she has also appeared in some Television commercials and is a social media sensation. She has around 1million followers on Instagram and over 500k followers on TikTok.
