Laila Mehdin Complete Bio & Career

Laila Mehdin made her acting debut with the Hindi film Dushman Duniya Ka in the year 1996. The film failed and she too went unnoticed. She played supporting role in this film. She then moved to the south and made her Telugu film debut with Egire Paavurama in 1997. After this, there was no stopping her.
 
She appeared in all south Indian language films and worked with all the superstars of the southern film industry. She was cast alongside Ajith in the super hit Tamil film Dheena. She won her first ever Filmfare Award for Best Tamil Actress for the blockbuster Tamil film titled Nandha. She won yet another Filmfare Best Actress Award along with Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in much-acclaimed film Pithamagan. After a gap of 9 years, she once again appeared in Bollywood film Insan in 2005. She did at least 2 films every year until she finally decided to bid adieu to her acting career after appearing in Malayalam film Mahha Samudram in 2006. The reason for this was cited as her marriage. After a gap of almost 13 years, she has made a comeback with the Tamil film titled Alice in the year 2019.
